A company which sells pro-life checks alongside checks with Christian messages called, Life Checks, has been duping pro-life people for years promoting organizations that support abortion under other company names.

Pro-life checks are a great way for pro-life people to get the message out about abortion but an investigation conducted by Life Dynamics in 2005 uncovered the Pro-life Check scandal.

BACKGROUND

The novelty check company was originally owned by George Johnson, a strong pro-life business owner committed to the cause of ending abortion with the help and advice of Virginia and Ellis Evers of Heritage House, who created the Precious Feet Pin.

We started printing bank checks with the Pro-Life message, eventually establishing them and the designs as “Life Checks.” You may have met us at various Pro-Life conferences around the US. As we worked together in the trenches to promote this cause and save the unborn,” Johnson said.

However, Johnson told Life Dynamics that he sold the company years ago to the Maryland based Custom Direct LLC after his wife was diagnosed with cancer.

Johnson, referred to by many as “The Pro-life Check Guy,” said that after his wife died, he discovered that the company he had sold to was also producing messaging that supported abortion:

If you look at Life Check’s website today, you will see that you can order checks with both Christian and pro-life messages.

But, as Life Dynamics president, Mark Crutcher pointed out on his Life Talk TV show in 2005 the new owners also promoted abortion rights groups like Planned Parenthood and the National Organization for Women.

This company also owns a company called Message Products,” Crutcher said.

Message Products Planned Parenthood checks

According to that 2005 report by Crutcher, Message Products, offered checks and other items that funded and promoted abortion groups like:

• Planned Parenthood
• The National Organization for Women
• The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)
• Various Gay and Lesbian Organizations

At that time, Message Products also claimed to “contribute $500,000 annually” to these and other “socially involved” groups.

MORE PRO-ABORTION TIES

In addition to Life Checks, Custom Direct owns the website 4checks.com which also promotes abortion rights groups.

At the time Crutcher exposed 4Checks.com they were listing all their pro-abortion checks alongside pro-life checks on the website.

And, believe it or not on that particular website they also list all their pro-life, pro-family, Christian, patriotic, checks right alongside National Organization for Women, Planned Parenthood…the ACLU, People for the American Way ,” Crutcher said in 2005.

Today, 4checks.com still offers pro-life checks along with checks for abortion rights groups like NOW under the “women’s Rights” section.

I’ll be honest with you, I think pro-life groups all over the country have been duped by this including Life Dynamics,” Crutcher noted who said at one time they had a link to Life Checks on their website which has now been removed.

Watch Crutcher discuss this on a 2005 episode of Life Talk TV below:

The good news is that George Johnson, original pro-life owners of Life Checks, is back in business and is offering genuine pro-life checks at the website Prolifecheckguy.com.

  • I noticed that when checking on just what all checks some companies had available. We get our checks from heritage house pro-life checks out of New Braunfels, TX. Do I need to be concerned about them? The website orders at http://www.prolifechecks.com
